GO TRIXIE!!!

It was the day after the monsoon, the ground still basking in it's newfound delight, when Marjorie decided to go tromping through the muck--uh, excuse me, "earthen delight." yea, whatever.

Anyways, I went to see two lovely horses in a very large pasture. I took my little mutt on a leash, in case she decided to be aggressive. When I found the horses, I tied Trixie to a tree a good distance away. She behaved beautifully, never once barking!...not that that did a lot of good.

The horses, once they noticed her, no longer found me to be of any interest, whatsoever. Fancy, the usually gentle mare, approached Trixie and stuck her gigantic muzzle in her face. I moved Trixie behind me, but to no avail. When both circled behind me, I decided I had better let her loose, or she would be horse-hoof-hash. And she nearly was...

Trixie--for once--did the right thing in a dangerous situation. She ran. Fast. But if you will remember, horses are rather fast creatures! As soon as they caught up with her, Fancy tried to make her intentions known with her front hooves, while Sunny let 'er rip with his hind ones! Trixie, in spite on looking a tiny bit confused, soon discovered she had the advantage in maneuverability. While she could go quite speedily, turn sharply, then stop, the horses would thunder past, making a wide turn to go back. While all of this did not amuse the horses, Trixie seemed to rather enjoy it. She stopped at a puddle (gross) to get a drink that I probably needed, since I had been using my voice box extensively towards her encouragement!

After "forcing" Trixie off their territory, the beasts happily tromped off the happy-munching-grounds. Marjorie suffered a nervous break-down.

Drip, Drip, Drip

We're having a major monsoon season here folks. Acoording to the latest report, many streets are flooded, and some schools are closing.
"For rain????" you ask. Yes.
TORRENTS OF IT!!!

ugh...I'm tired of days of rain. Incessant dripping....drip, drip, drip...I guess it's not so bad, except that rain is so dreadfully--well, sleepy-fying! Here, I even wrote a story...

I stared out across my room into the dim outdoors. The trees were as depressed as I was, boughs bending with their burden of drenching wetness and quickly growing moss (which happens to love this weather...it's one of the few who" dew"). When I tried a happier mindset, I found the sky was a beautiful shade of pale...pale, pale, pale, pale blue. But even my attempts at cheer did not console it, for all it was able to cast was a dim grayishness. Not a bird to be seen, not even an insect....

WELL, except for this crazy fly going in circles around my head that is!!!! SMACK!!!!

aaah,
I feel much better. Good-night folks!
